Terms of Service

Last updated: 12 June 2026 · Effective: 12 June 2026

1. Who we are, and what these terms cover

Naevik is an AI-agent endpoint security product operated by SensiSec Pty Ltd (ABN 88 663 013 063), a company registered in Australia (the “Company,” “we,” “us”). These terms govern your purchase and use of Naevik Personal and your use of the naevik.ai website and your Naevik account. By purchasing, installing, or using Naevik, you agree to these terms.

Naevik Team (the centrally managed edition for organizations) is offered under a separate agreement and is not covered by these terms, except where this site describes it.

2. Plain-English summary

You buy Naevik once and it’s yours. Each purchase is one license whose device limit equals the number of devices you chose at checkout (one if you didn’t change it). You get 2 years of updates; after that the app keeps working and you keep the last version you received.

15-day refund, no questions asked. Naevik is a security tool that reduces risk from AI agents — it is not a guarantee that nothing bad can ever happen, and you remain responsible for the agents you run and the policies you set.

3. Your license

When you buy Naevik Personal, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Naevik software on up to the number of devices you purchased. Specifically:

  • One order is one license. The quantity you choose at checkout becomes that license’s device limit. If you buy quantity one, your license covers one device.
  • Cross-platform. Your license covers macOS today, with Windows coming soon. Platforms still in development are included when they ship; your devices can be any mix of supported platforms.
  • Your devices. Licensed devices must be machines you own or control. You can unlink a device and move that seat to another machine at any time from your account; we may apply fair-use limits to very frequent device resets to prevent abuse.
  • Personal use. Personal licenses are for individuals (including individuals using Naevik for work on their own machines). They may not be pooled, resold, sublicensed, or centrally redistributed. Fleets and shared servers should use Naevik Team.

4. Updates, and what you keep

  • 2 years of updates included. Your purchase includes all updates to the Naevik software released for 2 years from the purchase date.
  • Keep it for good. When your update window ends, your license and the last version you received continue to work indefinitely on your licensed devices. Nothing expires, deactivates, or nags you into renewal.
  • Optional renewal. We may offer the option to renew for further years of updates. Renewal is a voluntary repurchase, never automatic — there is no subscription and we store no recurring billing authority.
  • Update contents. Updates may add, change, or remove features. We will not remove the core function you bought — on-device policy enforcement over AI agents — from a version delivered under your license.

5. Activation and your account

Naevik activates online against our license service and then runs locally. Your account at account.naevik.ai lets you re-download the installer, reveal your license key, and manage which devices are linked. Enforcement on your device is never switched off by a licensing problem: if our license service is unreachable, the installed agent keeps protecting your machine. License state gates downloads and updates, not security.

6. Payment, taxes, and refunds

  • Merchant of record. Checkout and payment are handled by our payment partner, Lemon Squeezy, LLC, acting as merchant of record. Your payment details go to them, not to us, and their checkout terms apply to payment processing. Applicable taxes (GST, VAT, sales tax) are calculated and collected at checkout.
  • Pricing. The price is per device, shown at checkout before you pay. We may change prices for future purchases; price changes never affect a license you already hold.
  • 15-day refund. If Naevik isn’t for you, request a refund within 15 days of purchase — no questions asked. Email hello@naevik.ai from your purchase email. Refunds are issued through the payment provider to your original payment method, and the refunded license is deactivated.
  • Consumer rights. The 15-day refund is in addition to, and does not limit, any non-excludable rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or equivalent consumer protection laws where you live.

7. What you may not do

You may not, and may not assist anyone else to:

  • share, resell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the software or your license key;
  • activate more devices than your license allows, or circumvent license activation, device limits, or update gating;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the software, except to the extent a law that applies to you permits it despite this restriction;
  • use Naevik to violate the law or the rights of others, or remove or obscure proprietary notices.

For clarity: configuring Naevik’s policies however you see fit on your own machines — including permissive policies, break-glass overrides, or uninstalling it — is your right, not a violation of these terms.

8. What Naevik is, and is not

Naevik enforces operating-system-level policy on what AI coding agents and the processes they spawn may run, read, write, and connect to. It is a risk-reduction tool, and we build it with the care an endpoint security product demands. However:

  • No security product is perfect. We do not promise that Naevik will prevent every harmful, unintended, or malicious action by an AI agent or any other software, or that it is free of defects.
  • Your policies, your call. What Naevik blocks or allows is determined by the policy in force on your device. You are responsible for the policies you author or accept and for the AI tools you choose to run.
  • Third-party tools stay third-party. Naevik governs other vendors’ AI agents but is not affiliated with them, and we are not responsible for their behavior, output, or terms.

9. Ownership

The Naevik software, site, and brand are owned by SensiSec Pty Ltd and protected by intellectual-property law. You own your data: your policies and your local audit records are yours, live on your device, and are governed by the Privacy Policy — in Personal, they never leave your machine. These terms grant you a license to use the software, not ownership of it.

10. Warranties and liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where a non-excludable guarantee applies and we are entitled to limit our liability for its breach, we limit it to re-supplying the software or paying the cost of re-supply.

Subject to the above: the software is provided “as is”; we exclude all other warranties; and our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the software or these terms is capped at the amount you paid us for the license in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, loss of profits, or losses caused by the actions of AI agents or other third-party software on your machine, to the extent the law permits these exclusions.

11. Termination

These terms apply for as long as you use Naevik. We may terminate your license if you materially breach these terms (for example, key resale or circumvention of device limits) and, where the breach is remediable, you fail to remedy it within 14 days of notice. You can stop using Naevik at any time by uninstalling it. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, liability, governing law) survive termination.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be announced on this page and, where appropriate, by email. Changes apply going forward; the license terms in force when you purchased (sections 3–4) are not retroactively reduced for licenses already sold.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Courts with jurisdiction in Australia have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, without limiting any right you have to bring proceedings under mandatory consumer protection law where you live.
